    First Park Hunt With V4.1

It alternates with the battery level meter near the bottom left of the normal horse shoe graph display. You can’t see it with the large target ID numbers or XY graph. Only the remote has this feature. Not on WS6. Gently pumping the coil activates it.

    First Park Hunt With V4.1

I hunted with V4.1 software for the first time in a Denver area park yesterday before the mini snow storm that is happening today. I picked a park with possible deep older coins and with fairly easy digging conditions normally. Our winter has been more like late spring here with no moisture...

Nokta Legend 2 Finds Using V1.02 Software

My hand doesn’t slip upwards on the grip. It rotates on the grip. I like to detect with my wrist and arm in a straight line alignment like my wrist and arm is when I point at something with my index finger. The Legend 2 handgrip forces me to lose that alignment and rotate my hand into a weak...

Nokta Legend 2 Finds Using V1.02 Software

The sides of the handgrip are lightly textured. The texture really needs to be stronger and it needs to be continuous onto the back of the grip where my fingers grip it. I have medium large hands and I have to reposition my hand a lot during swings because it keeps slipping. I will probably...

Nokta Legend 2 Finds Using V1.02 Software

Sorry you can’t detect like you want to. I do detecting in really high mineralization including gold prospecting and relic hunting at gold prospecting sites in machine gun iron and mineralization conditions so any opinions I give are based on that. I rarely use a metal detector in mildly...

Nokta Legend 2 Finds Using V1.02 Software

It took a while during the final testing for me to warm up to Legend 2. Most of the slow start with it was software stuff and the coil issue that was talked about by Nokta publicly back in December. The final testing production unit that I have now with the public release software really is...

Nokta Legend 2 Finds Using V1.02 Software

I was able to update to V1.02 software on February 6, 2026. That public version software really changed how Legend 2 performed in the high magnetite mineralization conditions where I often detect. All target IDs especially low and mid conductors, became much more stable and there was no more low...

    New detector ???

If you have used pulse induction detectors before, most of them have distinct threshold audio response patterns for potential ferrous or non ferrous targets that are shallow to 8” or so deep. Algoforce has that type of audio for its motion detection mode. You can couple that information with the...

    New detector ???

Read the rest of the sentence after “make a decent coin and relic detector…… “

    New detector ???

There are some really good instructional videos on Garrett.com for the Axiom done by Steve Herschbach from Detector Prospector Forum

    New detector ???

Two small Axiom coils are available: 11x7” mono and 11x7” DD.The DD works well with the Axiom’s iron audio reject feature.

    New detector ???

I tried it for a while for smaller nugget gold prospecting. I decided to stick with Garrett Axiom which is much easier to operate and setup with just about the same weight. Algo has a 0-99 target ID system when you go into is non-motion pinpoint mode but it does not have any iron reject or...

    Legend II vs. Manticore

All I can say right now is Legend 2 looks more like an Equinox 900 to me as far as the build, user interface layout and detection modes. Personally, the 900 was not a good fit for the ground conditions and higher altitude EMI where I detect the most. Way to unstable in general here. Legend 2...

    Legend 2 users

Hi woodbutcher, I was one of the final field testers so I can't say as much as I would like to due to the NDA that I had to agree to. After the latest public software update V1.02, detecting with the Legend 2 got a lot more fun at least for me. Nokta tuned up the ID mapping especially for...

    Vdi numbers...

I can’t remember where it was on the Simplex but the iron/non ferrous default tone break on Legend 2 is 20. Having nickels be 25/26 on Legend 2 just 5 target IDs away from iron would not work real well IMHO.

Meet the new XP DEUS II Gold Edition!

I wish they offered the same package but with the WS6 instead of the remote for $400 to $500 less. I use the HF2 coil with WS6 when I am gold prospecting at high altitude mountainous sites and in really rough terrain. The WS6 does not fall off the shaft mount nearly as much as the remote. Plus...

Minelab Equinox 900 or Nokta Legend?

Nox 900 using the 6” round coil. Legend using its 6” round coil and the LG24 small elliptical coil. All of the nuggets were sub gram pickers which is what these detectors are really good at along with specimen gold

Minelab Equinox 900 or Nokta Legend?

Found small gold nuggets with the 900 and Legend 1

Minelab Equinox 900 or Nokta Legend?

West Coast USA, East Coast USA or some other country for beach hunting? It matters. I have used the Equinox 900 at So-Cal beaches and I thought that was one of the strong points of the 900 along with gold prospecting with it in Arizona. Both places had moderate magnetite mineralization which...
