CW Artillery Battery in Public Park

Went to the park after work to try to find an artillery battery I had researched. Well...I think I found it!!! 54 cannon friction primers in 2 hours!!! Plus some coins. No matter how bad the signal was, I dug it and 9/10 it was always a cannon primer. Idk how people could miss so many of them...

    Deus at The CW Camp

Let’s try this again lol Got our with the Deus to the CW Camp and did surprisingly well with my first Sharps, First Lettered Eagle Button, an extremely old Tombac Button, and a beautiful local Sutlers token. I was running 7Khz and Reactivity of 2 with 92 sensitivity most of the day. When I got...

Advanced AT Max User vs New Deus User at a CW Camp

Let’s just say the AT Max got BLISTERED!!! The AT Max ended up getting 2 Minie Balls and a few flat buttons. We probably swung for 7 hours in total but I was very happy to get my first sharps, first lettered eagle button, an early Tombac, and a beautiful local CW token. That 7khz ain’t no joke...

Calabash Advice pays off...in lead and coins

    Home Screen Issue

So I turned my detector on and the Minelab startup logo appeared but would not go away to the detect screen. The machine still worked but the logo would not go away. I somehow still dug 9 silvers with it like this. The power button was the only button working. Basically I couldn't make any...

    1st Run w/ 17" Feedback

Got the 17" for Xmas and it was off to the pounded park ball field. With the 11" I had found over 30 wheats, 2 Indians, a handful of dimes, and 3 silver quarters. After 2 hours with the 17" I managed to find a v nickel that I got lucky on and one wheat. The V was in with a handful of iron nails...

Town Square Pt 2 I'll be back :starwars:

Went back to the old town square and decided to dig all signals just to see how many coins I could dig. Within 2.5 hours, I had 101 coins, most of which were clad but there were a few keepers. The deepest being the 1856 O seated that was coming up at 12-40, 12-41 at 7", with all others no deeper...

Slow Down and Dig it All!!-Town Square Finds

Back to my same old park field and really slowed down and dug everything that would give me even the mildest repeatable signal. The two mercs were in the same hole but would totally null out with a flash of 12-46 every once in a while. Turns out, they were right next to a hot rock. The 1890...

    CTX 17" Coil-Worth It?

So at this point, I would consider my little park ballfield to be hunted out with the 11" coil. I ended up finding 10 silvers, 2 indians, and roughly 50 wheat pennies out. The park dates back to 1880s and the soil is sandy so the coins sink deep. The oldest coin I have found so far with the CTX...

    Andy was right...

Today at the old park, I was going slow and paying attention to iffy signals. At this park, anything over 6" is old....so I get a 12-37 at 8" deep. In Andy's book when talking about the Old US Coin Program, I remember reading something along the lines of "if you skip out on 12-37 because you're...

    Another Silver Quarter

After 6 days, this marks the 3rd quarter I have found in the same park, thus doubling my lifetime amount of quarters found. Not to mention that it is a trifecta. Also, my first 1909 VDB. I could not be happier with this machine.

    Maiden Voyage w/ CTX 3030

The CTX came in today and it was off to the pounded park to see how it would fair. I just used the default Silver Program and it wasn't long before I had a sweet 12-47/48 at 8 inches. 1907-O Barber Quarter!!! Also found a Seagrams 80th Anniversary metal that when cleaned up looks like the...

    Safari vs CTX 3030

I've hunted with the safari for the last 4 years and just bought the 3030. I've watched countless videos on the 3030 but can't find anything comparing the two detectors. My biggest motivator for upgrading was that I've been hunting an 1880s park that's "hunted out" but still find the occasional...

    Another First!

My first New Orleans minted coin. By far the most flawless coin I have ever dug. Not a single blemish on it. Full liberty and even the lines on the shield are strong. HH

Best Silver Day I Have Had in a While

Decided to go to the old "hunted out" park in hopes of finding a few wheat pennies. Damn was I surprised when this came out. My first ever Barber Quarter and only 2nd silver quarter. Still no Washingtons. I also found 2 Roosevelts that are not pictured. HH

Need help identifying a military button

Found this button today. The only writing says, "Fatti femine" as best as I can make out. Although found in Indiana, I was thinking possibly Maryland Coast Guard but have been unsuccessful in finding an exact match. The back Is blank and has a shank. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
