    Got out for a bit Sat....

    Still lots of snow here and was just hitting a few bare spots. The ground was not frozen for the most part. Not much for finds, but I'll take'em. Used the 10.5 DD M, Deepest target was the little brass button w/ tinback and shank. 6" Thanks for looking:smile:

    Fair hunt this afternoon..

    It was 5 above this mornin so I waited till 1:00 or so to go to a ballfield. The ground still had a little ice. Swung for about 2 hours and plucked 6.52 in clad. Got 3 new one dollar coins about three inces apart. A first on the 1 dollar coins. Got a storm coming in Wed. so my diggin might slow...

    How far did they target practice...Army 1870-1880's?

    Trying' to determine from where they were shooting from. Have found 25-30 in about a 50x100' area. Hoping to find some brass and coins or other dropped goodies. I have afeeling there is allot more lead where I found these. The ground is frozen here now with 6" snow and more on its 'way...

    Found the brass buckle and the 2 iron thingies in a camp. This camp is from around the 1860-1870 time period give or take a decade maybe. I think it's a buckle but aint sure. The 2 iron pieces look like sling belt keepers to me???? Tell me what youz think they are:help: Thanks for lookin' Nick
