    Hi Yall!!!! I was checking in to see if anybody on the east coast

    Was doing well with all the storm activity! First thing I thought about when they said it was going to run north along the coastline. I know in Alabama it was some of the best detecting before the storms got there.

    Locating black sand deposits - ie for goldpanning....

    Can the XLT be programmed to find blacksand?? The reason I ask is we have flour gold here in the U.P. If I'm not mistaken the gold would settle in with the hvy blacksand in creek beds. Thanks!

    Reading about the Q2 and thought of something.... Is autotrac a good idea??

    in reguard to the XLT - why is the preset +1 on the GB/autotrac. Wouldn't you want it to be even - 0 - or maybe least -1 for better depth? I'll have to try manual GB sometime for kicks. I mean could the unit Auto GB out good targets?

    Now I have a problem...... To E or not to E.......

    2nd time out using my XLT with Tone ID(I think?)

    First off, ooohf it's VERY minelabish-if that's a word.. Can't remember how many tones it has but if you put that number of cats under a washtub and kicked it I think it would sound the same! :~) On the plus side while sometimes very noisy IT WORKS.     I want to get another XLT... What's the diff between the XLT and the "E" model??

    Old one I had was a regular Spectrm and really liked it. I've been told the "E" is just stickers? but I can't believe they would goto all that trouble..... Thanks for the info in advance!
