    Better dig the shallow pulltab signals

    Was relic hunting with Adam at one of my spots. I was only digging signals deeper then six inches looking for some relics. Adam walks over with a beauty. 1974 heavy 10K class ring. We inquired with the landowner and no-one to his knowledge lost it so kudos to Adam for digging all targets.

    Done in light snow. Pro mode, custom , disc. 40, gb 76. targets checked in iron audio. No headphones, Cold weather did not effect detector. TexKinsey video.

    One thing we all should remember..........

    Several recent detectors have taken time to get the kinks worked out. If you think the new AT Pro can be improved I encourage posts in a courteous way to let the folks at Garrett know your concerns. Garrett has got a detector of interest so lets work with them to improve on a very good design...

    The winner and.....................

    Still champ-in is the 29er. But was knocked down for the count of nine by the tone roll id of the contender. Now I want a 29er with tone roll id. Oh brother.:heh:

    At Pro had some success today

    Dug a couple of flat buttons. One is either the heaviest gold plat I have ever dug or just gold. Will have to test it more. Back mark Lewis @ Tomes extra. Pic later.Did not expect much since the site has been hammered but relics will hide in and around iron.

    Some field time to day with the AT.............

    Hit a couple of colonial sites today. The ground balanced at 86 or so. The best feature on this detector for me was iron id tone roll. I knew right away when I had large iron. The detector never said dig me. As a relic hunter I love to dig large items in known camps but not so much hunting other...

    Some initial impressions AT Pro

    Some things I do not like.:thumbdown: Small meter face. Hard to see if your eyes are not what they use to be. This was indoors .Not sure what will happen with the sun's glare. I'm tall and when the detector is extended all the way out the coil feels heavy and the shaft wobbles. The good news...

    Hows your shipping provider doing.

    My dealer of choice shipped the Pro on Tuesday priority mail 2 states away with tracking saying Thursday delivery. Still no detector. Continued good work USPS.

    I swear it's always something

    A new machine with excellent tone id features and inferior headphones. Well maybe we all hear sound a little different. I cringe at cutting or modding anything.
