    V3 and DX-1 Mounting.

    Since mounting my DX-1 on my V3, I can no longer slide the shaft up into the handle and fit the detector into the White' Bag. I know I can remove the shaft, but this seems like a sloppy solution. Does anyone have any suggestions on a longer/better bag? Thanks, Mark

    Minelab Excal II 1000

    Just received my machine today and will be headed for the beach house (Texas Coast) on Thursday. I was able to use a friends Excal for a couple of hours last week so I am not a complete newbie with the machine. Any suggest setting and or tips would be appreciated.

    First V3 usage

    Took the V3 out around the beach house and had my first find. A crushed aluminum can at about 7 inches. Showed up on the screen as a quarter with a nice strong sound. The analyze mode had a funny curve like an "S" sine wave. Decided to dig it anyway. Pin pointing showed the depth at 1 to 2...

    I'm heading for the Texas Beach (Corpus Christi Area) and I'm leaving the E-trac at home. Does anyone have any advice for the V3 on the beach? Should I just use the factory beach program with no modifications?

    SEF 6X8 or Sunray X-5

    I am a newbie with the E-trac and want to get a smaller coil for some trashy areas I will be hunting soon. My dealer say the Sunray X-5 is the best coil (of course he sells them). Has anyone out there used them both?
