Blessed with a white gold 14k mens wedding band

I still can't figure this one out. This must of been a blessing and nothing but that. This ring was maybe three inches down and its owner was a victim of a lost ring while playing volleyball. Center of the court in the grass on the side. The ring was cut, possibly circulation was being cut...

Good day metal detecting, but the silver must be deeper! I found about 10 wheaties but only found one 1957 Rosie. Found and old Skeleton key that's cool and of all things a South African 1943 coin! The house on the property was about 100 years old but there was a house prior to that on the same...

Using an ace to detect the cuts

So I've done this in the past with not much luck. I know that this particular metal detector does not do well in wet salty sand, but with the sensitivity turned down and a listening ear you can still pick up the strong repeatable signal of a coin out of the cut of low tide but you need to disern...

    Help for and object

This item is around two inches long, brass. It is around a quarter inch in diameter bullet shaped with what appears to have steel at the tip connected. The back side flate has what looks like a hammer strike from a gun not sure. It is solid and weighs around an ounce and a half.

    Toy Gun

It's pretty neat to pull an old toy out of the ground and it still actually works. The research I've done indicates 1940's to 1950's. The cocking mechanism or hammer still works when the trigger is used!

    Scabbard Throat

I'm thinking this scabbard throat could be from the civil war era! Just can't imagine it being from another period! It is about a inch and a half wide by the same tall. It appears to be brass and it was found in close proximity to a 1853 large cent. I put it on the watzit forum I had a hunch it...

Second week back after a year of no detecting first large cent!

Well the Ace 350 picked up a strong signal at about 5 inches down. Interesting find. It bounced from quarter dime to half dollar but the signal was so strong I had to dig it. The coin was the size of a Susan B Anthony US dollar. I knew it wasn't one of those, because it looked far older. I had...

Last week was the first time after year, this week my first large cent

Pretty exciting pulling an old coin out of the ground not knowing what, just knowing it was old! I didn't even think large cent, came home brushed it with a paint brush to identify. It has a lot of crud on it. Is it worth putting it in an electrolysis bath. Any wisdom would be most appreciated!

Got the itch to try out the Ace 350. The last time I tried the Ace it was falsing. John Edmonton gave me some tips on disconnecting the coil blowing off the connections etc.. The Ace was back up and running I ran the smaller double d coil it is my favorite. Had a couple deep signals but no...
