Meterorite

It looks like Magnetite (iron oxide) to me but here is a good place to start to ID meteorites. http://www.meteoritemarket.com/metid1.htm

Thanks, Im guessing you right it has more charactristics of magnetite iron oxide. Thanks again for the hand identifying and HH

This rock should be streak tested. Find an unglazed piece of porcelain (underside of toilet tank cover) then rub the sample across the porcelain. If magnetite it should make a dark brown streak.

This stone has some resemblance of chromite, also a brown streak. But, if you cut a window on the chromite (file a flat spot to view the inside) you should see a rust brown color.

This stone also has some resemblance to graphite - streak is black/grey, shining.
