Good day at the winter 1861 camp

I went out this morning to the winter camp that's been my main hub the last three years. It was nice to see some brass relics pop out today. This place typically doesn't give up much brass (mostly lead). The last picture is today's kepi bugle next to the business end of a real bugle I found on...

Hunting an 1861 winter encampment in Missouri

Sunday I went out detecting a piece of land that contained an entire division of men in the winter of 1861. I started digging out one of the winter huts when I got a nice signal and dug down 8-9" when I saw a large silver coin. I put the coin in a safe spot until I got home. Here are...

    Hello F users :beers:

I started with my first F75 in 2008 and used it until 2010. I used a Gold Bug DP in 2011 and 2012. Now I'm back to the F75 Special Edition, and I love it! From my experiences, Mike Scott and Gene Scullion are some great guys to deal with if you ever have any questions or concerns. Jeff...

Finds from the attached Cavalry Camp

I recently posted finds from a virgin Union Infantry Camp. The next property over contained a large Cavalry portion of the same division. These come from 5 separate hunts over the last few weeks. The ring is gold plated and shows two hearts. I was told the sabot pieces are from James shells. Jeff
