    Equinox 600 and 800 books

It's tough to read a paper manual on a windy beach.:rofl:I can carry my phone though. With the manual available on my phone I've never needed to read it though. I plan ahead and make new adjustments before I leave the house.

    Equinox 600 and 800 books

Not exactly! No need to print it. Just download it. It is more useful on the computer as it can be searched.

    Pairing wireless headphones

Yeah, it takes a bit of patience. The Equinox tries the WM08 first and has to timeout on that before it starts trying BT.

Okay so I realize I'm new to this brand of detector...

I always have my iphone running in my front pocket with a BT link to my apple watch while MDing. It causes no EMI for my 800. A guy with a Surf PI walked up to me one day and lit my 800 up good. I had to yank my ear pods out. There is a utility box(cable tv?) on one of the beaches I go to that...

    Nox-- first impressions

I agree, I always have my IPhone in my pocket and turned on. It has never interfered with my Nox that I am aware of. There is a utility box near one of the beaches I frequent that causes my Nox to get real chatty and other detectors nearby will cause problems but not my phone.

    Nox-- first impressions

I certainly wouldn't carry a manual to the beach/field/park and at home it is much easier to use the computer. Save a buck and a tree.

    Needle in sandpile

Today I was on the way up the beach heading back to my truck. My 800 got a pretty iffy signal but I was nearly back to my truck so I decided to dig. I struggled to find the target and pulled out my PP. The carrot was indicating something in the pile as well so I kept looking. I finally saw it. A...

Question? 800 on Salt Water Beaches?

I agree with everything from @silvercoinboy. I routinely find coins at 12" or more in wet sand. I have large patches of black sand that cause no issues.
