    Balance

I can only speak for the D1. I believe they are very close in size balance. I can swing the D1 all day without issue with the 9” hf coil. The 11” is definitely heavier and throws the balance a bit. I do have an offset mount for the 11” coil but I don’t feel it makes a great deal of difference.

    A question for you folks

I hate aluminum! I actually don’t mind old iron. Kinda what I’m looking for most of time simply because I know what may lurk within the iron patch.

    Weekend finds

I was running the 9”hf. Seems to really eat up the iron in 28khz. Nothing here has been very deep but I do have the 11” x35 so I may run that over it one day to be sure.

    Weekend finds

That was actually my favorite find. I found the front and the back on previous hunts. At least that’s what I’m gonna tell myself…..

    Weekend finds

Took out my new to me Deus 1 for the first hunt. Pretty happy with the results. This is a site that has been hunted many times with other machines. Ran Blackwell’s sonar program for the entire hunt. Every target was under considerable amounts of iron.

XP Deus is Killer on Silver

Tony, I went from my 800 to the ORX and have been super happy with it. New to me deus1 on the way as we speak!

Someone stole my Deus remote and WS5 headphones.

Sad thing is that the genius thief is probably still trying to figure out how to download music on it.

Back to my "new" hunting spot.

Earthlypotluck, I see you had the recovery speed at 4, did you slow your swing speed any from normal? Nice haul! I’ve never pulled 8 silvers on one hunt.

    Nox 800 - ORX

Thanks for the info. I kinda thought they would compliment each other well. I feel like the nox will still be my go to in most situations. I’m thinking that the orx with hf will sniff out things mixed in with heavy iron better than the nox. And..... it doesn’t take much of a reason to justify a...

    Nox 800 - ORX

Any equinox guys have an orx also? I love my equinox and I’m thinking about an orx with an hf coil to hit sites that I have have spent a lot of time on with the equinox. I feel that I’m pretty good with the nox, but have been advised that the HF coil on the XP is great is heavy iron. I don’t...

    Equinox single frequencies.

I don’t usually run single frequency. But, in a trashy spot I have had good luck running park 1 in multi. It’s weighted towards the lower frequencies and seems to perform well. I have used 4khz randomly checking signals that seem iffy or really deep. Have pulled a couple good buttons and Nickels...
