    Sensitive and Sensitive FT

And yet it appears that nobody actually tried it. Amazing.

    Sensitive and Sensitive FT

One mistake I made is to say that it was deeper. I should have said that the signal was stronger.

    Sensitive and Sensitive FT

Unless you are detecting over smooth floor-like soil you are always testing targets over air. Grass, leaves and other material intervene to raise the coil.

    Sensitive and Sensitive FT

Have you tried what I mentioned? I know that it shouldn't matter because the programs are so close, but........but if you don't try it you'll never know. Why would they make two programs so close unless one has some hidden features? BTW, my program 3 is almost the same as yours.

    Sensitive and Sensitive FT

I was just messing around and might have found a little something with the Deus 2. Using factory settings for both programs 2 and 3 , Sensitive using full tones (instead of the factory 3 tones) is a little deeper than Sensitive FT. I used a clad dime buried at 4" and tested by lifting the coil...

    Frisbee golf coarse gold

I had the same thought about the tee box and tried it once. So far no luck but may try again. A ring just has to be there.

Doubts over Manticore 50% extra power.

I remember that several years ago Minelab ads claimed that one of their detectors had 28 frequencies. Turned out that it had 28 harmonic frequencies but the processor could not use anywhere near that many. An outright deception in the ads but it still was a very good detector.

Why so many people dumping the Deus 2

My Deus 2 is a much better machine than my Nox 800. I think most bashers are just not learning enough about it. And maybe a lot sellers are noticing how bad the economy is and need the cash. BTW, my control head has never fallen off.

    Minelab Manticore

It seems to have part of the screen with a matrix like the Etrac and CTX 30 30 has.

    Deus 2 and the MI6

Also, Big Boys Hobbies has them for $1299.00 not including the wireless phones. That's where got mine. Your choice on coil size.

    Deus 2 and the MI6

I still own the Deus 1 as well. Haven't much time compare them both, still learning the D2. At the risk of sounding like a smart a$$, they are the same but different. You will feel comfortable with the D2 but there's a new menu layout and some additions to the screen. Most of all it's much...

    Deus 2 and the MI6

Got a new Deus 2 a few days ago, tried to learn all I could in that amount of time, and hit the park I've hit for years but has still has coins. Hardly ever used the pinpoint button on the Deus 1 but I sure used it with the D2 because my trusty MI6 pinpointer wasn't deep enough on the targets...

How much junk are you willing to dig to find gold ????

Depends on my attitude and mostly on the temperature coupled with the amount of shade I'm under and how hard the ground is.
