Different Perspective – 20 Gold Rings of Yesteryear Equal to One Today!

Yes,certainly slim pickings these days, even coins are getting harder to come by.

    Fisher CZ-21

Yes bud,i often wonder why CScope didn't just make a waterproof box from the start.......every detector made specifically for the beach should have a waterproof control box.Shouldn't be very hard to put it in some sort of waterproof housing though.......the earphone plug might be the hardest bit...

    Fisher CZ-21

Always fancied trying the CZ21.........i had a whites beach hunter 300 id and that was the best beach detector i ever owned......dual frequency and concentric coil but in all metal mode that thing went deeper than my mates Excals and the three lights still gave an indication of what was under...

    Will the myth become legend.

I'm talking about the mythtek 18 inch coil from coiltek........and no it won't,let me explain. I bought the coil for beach hunting because of its coverage and supposedly extra depth which is one of the areas of detecting that this coil was designed for......relatively clean large open...

    Beach today.

Managed to pull more detail from the emperor.......you can now start to see the writing around the edges.

    Beach today.

Thanks bud........there are plenty more on this particular beach.......just need some sand off and it just isn't happening.

    Beach today.

Went out to the beach today to test the mythtek 18 inch coil......got there and our latest storm has piled more sand onto it.Got on the beach and it started chucking it down with rain........not great. Anyway the coil was good.....loads of ground coverage,no problem pinpointing and not so heavy...

    Pro v Elite.

To be honest it is quite heavy so i imagine i will have to get some sort of harness if it proves to be a keeper........until then i will just have to eat lots of spinach.😁

Well i did an air test on the 18 inch compared to the 15x12.......i don't take much from such tests but it gives an idea if comparing coils on the same machine. The test was done indoors so sensitivity had to be turned down compared to settings used on the beach to keep it stable........the same...

As OL said they are reinforced and do seem quite strong. The other thing is the coil isn't as heavy as you would think,i was very surprised. The plastic coiltek uses seems to be a bit more pliable than that of some other coils......more flexible and less brittle.Time will tell but i'm confident...

It's a great coil bud.......my finds rate at the beach has gone up using it,mainly because of the extra ground coverage i think, thats why i got the 18 inch. I used to think depth was the most important factor on the beach but on the beaches i hunt,i have found that most of my good finds have...

NEL Tornado 13x12 or 13” Ultimate

Hi bud,i recently bought the Nel Tornado and it's very impressive, very sensitive to tiny objects, deep and covers more ground than the 10 inch tornado......which is also a great coil. The Nel is stable and easy to pinpoint with too, brilliant piece of kit.

Well i went and did it.......why not eh,you only live once. Here are some comparison photos to the 12x10 and 15x12.......also the minelab 10 inch tornado.......the 18 inch is a monster.

    Pro v Elite.

I was back at the beach today so i took my quarter with me to see where the 15x12 maxed out on depth.14 inches was a good practical signal,ie,would have picked it up as i walked along sweeping my coil at normal speed.Settings used were sensitivity 20,recovery 1,dp tones and ground...

    Equinox 15" Coil

I'd be very interested in the redults.👍👍

    Equinox 15" Coil

I use one on the xterra pro at the beach and my findings are exactly the same as yours.......i don't think it gives a massive depth advantage over the 12 (does in air) although it's still better but the ground coverage definately helps increase the finds rate.I never have any trouble pinpointing...

    CTX 3030 compared to Manticore

There is mothing about your post i never got........the whole point of my original post is his tests are totally invalid in real detecting conditions,it matters not one jot that they may be valid in the conditions he is conducting them in.How many people do you think conduct their detecting on...

    5.00 Nautilus Detector

I owned three DMC2B'S in all........best detectors i ever owned and a joy to use.Suppport dried up in the UK and i had to part with them.😔

    CTX 3030 compared to Manticore

Nobody was "attacking" him, just responding to a post that may influence newcomers to the hobby in a negative way, thats my point and i don't want to see anybody buy a certain metal detector,or indeed refuse to buy one on the strength of tests that are totally innacurate and false.......i did when...

    Detect Chaser compared to ?

Not a very detailed video but looks like this could be in damp sand at the beach which would suggest it might be good there too......its hitting better than the 800 by the looks of it.🤔
