01 FE in 2 tone ferrous

I know alot of you discriminate out this line but alot of my finds begin at 01 and end up being something else. Anyone else find this?

I never disc out 01 in ferrous/2-tone. I disc part of it out in CO sounds... Andy Sabisch has this in his book on the E-TRAC. He tells what part of the 01-02 liine to null and what to disc back in so that you don't miss Morgan dollars. I sometimes disc out CO 49 and 50 too and I always use the relic pattern in both CO and FE sounds.. and I expand it by a number or two in proportion to the original. I will try and upload the patterns I use sometime soon, they includs "Jason's Relic Pattern" which does not seem to be online anymore... but it is the relic pattern I use if you can find it...

I see no reason to null any part of 01 or 02 in Fe sounds because in any case if you are using FTT... you are going to be looking at the screen. I dig anything with the FE close to 12 (like 7-16) and the CO number is what it is... it is always right... and if the FE number is in the range I can almost always tell you what I am going to dig. The exception would be bronze pennies and Rosies. A minnieball is almost always 11-12/33-34 and in a CW site.

On the SovereignGT they are almost always 173 on the 180 meter. These two machines have the most reliable VDI of any machinei've used... the Omega-8000 is a very close runner up. (I assume that I can make a comparision on this forum since the E-TRAC does not need to be protected like the V3). I like the V3 too but they are very protective of it on the V3 forum... I think it makes it look bad, like it needs protecting, which it doesn't.. but what do I know? I'm obviously a nerd with a detector!

Agree - I find coins on the 01 FE line, especially deep IHs, so I am very careful about what FE numbers I disc out.
