04/12/2009 Finds.

I decided to search a trash infested portion of my hometown park today and just search for coins.I was using the E-Trac in factory preset coins mode with the factory applied coil. I have very good success in this mode around here,so, why change anything. I started out finding the modern clad and Memorials, then I Got a good 11-47 signal on the E-Trac at six inches deep. This turned out to be a 1958-D Washington Silver Quarter. That was a good start to the silver finds. About 20 minutes later I had a 12-34 reading from 8 inches deep. This was a great 1903 Indian Head Cent with full LIBERTY on the headband. two feet away, another 12-34 reading from six inches deep produced a 1906 Indian Head Cent with partial LIBERTY. How I was real happy with the finds so far.

For the next hour all I was finding were Wheat Cents and Clad., but I was finding a lot of coins. The next signal was a 13-45 at 5 inches and was a 1907 Barber Dime. But I dug a pultab first. I rescanned the hole and still had a coin signal and pulled out a 1923 Mercury Head Dime. Well, three silver coin day.

The last thing I found before heading home was a Heart Shaped, Dog ID. tag. It is not dated but had the Name Flossy on with the home of the family and their address plus phone number which I will not print. I am going to call the number later today and see If i can find the owner. Anyway, I had a good day with 30 coins found total. HH...Jesse.

Sweeeet! have yet to find a barber but the more trash i dig out the closer i am to getting one. Keep'em comin!

Wow! Nice finds, Jesse. Thanks for sharing the numbers too. I don't dig a lot of penny signals...unless they are deep. I, for certain, will dig all penny signals with a conductivity number of 34 now that I know they could be Indian Head Cents. Thanks again. Excellent post. Dan
