10 Hour Water hunt with CTX :usan:

Shawn And I hunted yesterday for 10 hours from waist deep - 7 feet at the height of the tallest WAVES.....

We had stable units all day from auto +3 - manual 27 I mostly ran between 21-24 but i could have ran at 30 as well just that range tends to give me more than what i want in depth in a water machine. The CTX3030 will

shoot just as deep as most pulse units when set up right. This site has been hammered for thirty + years... it is thin and has been pulsed but finds are still there to try your skill level.....usually we look for a big

offshore move to redeposit some of the goodies or move the bottom around.....

Of the 10 hour hunt I wanted to see if this unit would hold up to a full out attack on a beach and two hours taking a breath and digging deeper with head completely submerged .....I saw that 3030 was dependable

and if anything to friggin deep....

Thanks Jim for the post... what part of the country are you water hunting?

The Gulf of Mexico as salty as most places

Mineralization could be part of the equation... coil shielding from one coil to another could be a culprit....

Nothing will take away from the fact... That very deep Detection.... is and can be an unstable realm itself.

only unstable detectors go DEEP......well me and Shawn's were stable all day we did not play in the shallows much we were waist deep or

deeper most of the day.....

settings

i used High trash
open screen
combined audio 99hz fe zone(bottom zone) next 310hz (left top)495hz(left middle) 660hz (right middle) 1050hz (top right)
I used recovery fast deep off or recovery deep fast off i changed around but settled on Fast depth was not a problem..
Pitch Hold has always been my main ticket...
normal pinpoint
I always find clean spot and noise cancel with coil on the ground
sensitivity 20-30 .....( mainly 21-27) ended up at 24) auto sens. plus 1-3
mainly plus 3

GH this is copy of a part of a PM which explains pretty much what where when and HOW

Man thanks for the settings.. with your success I will definitely have this one saved in my machine if I ever get to the beach or a large Tsunami swallows Texas..:lmfao:

Texas is supposed to sink. The draining of the Ogalala Aquafer is supposed to let the ground sink all the way up to Nebraska and turn it back into a sea. I hope it only sinks up to the north west edge of Dallas though. I've always wanted a home on the water.
