Heaviest gold ring to date. 7.55 grams. I know, not really large, but it did get me dancing a little. Good solid tid of 22. I am attempting to upload a picture. First time trying this, so.....

Super cool 14K gold ring! Where did you detect it? beach? park? would love to know the backstory!

It was at a city park. I found the $106 around a couple ball fields, and the ring on a small hill next to a kiddy park. Think I may hit it again in the next couple of days.:coastgaurd:

Very nice!! Between myself and other detectorists, Ive cleaned out (at least to maybe 8-9 inches or so) most of the parks around here so I'm always scanning the ground/grass for fresh drops. I'm constantly making note of when BB games, volleyball games, soccer games and birthday parties are held on the parks and I usually try to plan on detecting those areas after the crowds disperse. Even then, while coins are somewhat plentiful.......silver and most definitely gold finds are rare anymore. It seems like people are much more careful about loosing anything of value:shrug:
