Hit up the park with the Ace trying to clear as much clad as I can before I got too cold. I didn't count how many trashed zinc pennies I dug. Got a couple of deeper signals and this is what came out. Tons of .22 caliber short cartridges too.
 
That is a very nice looking V nic. Mine usually don't fare so well.
 
It came in high like a dime/quarter signal. I thought I was going to get some silver again today but I was wrong. I rechecked the hole and there wasn't anything else in there. Who knows.

Very nice "V" nickel. Congrats! Question: How did you clean it? Every old nickel I've found is so grungy and hard to read. PLEASE........HELP. Thanks, Nancy
