Got out for a bit today. Came up with an 1852 Large cent that had been shot, A trade token for $0.05 to A. Washburn store and 4 wheats(28, 34, 45, 5:geek:.

You are doing very well with that Ace 250 Andrew, I hope your new detector does just as good.......

Yea,, me too. The E-Trac is a nice one and pretty easy to use. It is ready to go right out of the box with the coin program and the hardest part is learning it's language.

Nice finds Andrew, your lookin good for fom oldest coin.....been a while since a large cent went in my pouch....Congrats!

Nice finds. I'm still waiting for my large cent. Something about the token looks familiar but I can't ID it right now. If you're making finds like these with your Ace 250 you are not going to need your new machine. LOL

Looks like the token could possibly be from Ansel C. Washburn, proprietor of the Arlington Hotel & Saloon in Princeville, Illinois. Late 1800's to early 1900's.

Great hunt, Andrew! Tokens are amongst my favorite finds. Good luck learning new machine, too.
Capt Ron

You can see the dark spot on the token and the large cent where they were touching in the ground. Popped em out of the same hole.
