12-15 through 12-19 ever dig a good one?

Just wondering if anyone has dug a great target in this range? I have them included on my screen in hopes of gold but after several years have only added to my awesome square pull tab collection. The gold I have found has all been above 12-20 and below 12-14.

Yep. 10 carrot gold ring with small emerald and ruby. This smaller ladies band rang up a solid 12-17 but wasn't as deep as it pinpointed.

as mentioned war nickels, most for me come in at 12-17 to 12-19
dug a nice gold ring at 12-17 as well

I have dug war nicks in the 12-15 to 12-19 range. Above that has always been pull tabs.

pretty much the same for me. War nickels come in around 12-17 to 12-19. Anything else I've dug in that range has been trash.

I hadn't considered war nicks. Don't think I've dug one with the etrac... makes sense, my exterra responds to them in the same manner; a few notches higher.

I try to keep an open mind. In a ghost town, I'd jump on any signal in this range. But in the school yards and parks, I get weary and lazy after a dozen shallow 12-17 tabs. Probably have missed some keepers. I have noticed that every shallow gold I've found with the etrac has really hit with a thud while the tabs just often sound a little cruddy.

I appreciate the imput!
