For all those newbies that may have concerns about the Minelabs with FBS, multi tones, if it's in the ground, your detector (in my case a Safari) WILL detect it. The rest is up to you to interpret the signal and your decision to dig or not.
I found this ring today which is one of many gold rings that I have detected with my Safari. Just putting in a plug for this detector and trying to give all of you (including myself)!! a confidence boost!! G.L.& H.H.

Thanks S&T! It registered 29-30 with a rich deep tone. I also air tested it and it came in a steady 29. Strange how many of us think that gold targets come in at the low numbers i.e. 10-22 aprox; but it can come in at higher numbers 23-32 aprox; as well. I had 16 sensitivity and swinging in coins. This particular area of the park is infested with lot's of trash/ bits of aluminum and all kinds of junk. I thought for a moment it was another junk target but I smelled gold (just kidding)!!! and I HAD to dig and glad I did!!.

Thanks guy's! Just an add on, comment/tip regarding where I detected it. About 4-5 years ago, there was some sprinkler work done in this park. I suspect that maybe one of the workers lost it at that time because it was close to where the work was completed? Maybe, maybe not.
Like most parks in suburban areas, there are a lot of parties held, Labor Day, Memorial weekend, birthday parties etc; so who knows where it came from but whether it be on a beach (volleyball courts) or a park, it's always a great place to detect where physical activity might have happened in the past.

Thanks for the ID numbers! I have never found gold with my safari. I think one of my old flat buttons might have had hold leaf, based on some shiny specks, but who knows. It rang as an 18.

Nice ring. Found a similar one back in May at the beach. Came up as a 38, which is typically a quarter. The inner band is .925 and the outer 10K.

That's an interesting combination of metals, there again, if you go on Ebay, they make all kinds of rings in many different forms from many different countries!
