15 gr silver!

Took the quick broom with the 10 on it over to that football field I find silver in...This is the third silver bracelet I've found at this spot since I began hunting it a few years ago..really nasty signal of 49-52...a little lower than those chain link wires, but out in the middle of the field, and 3" deep. Probably wouldn't have dug it if it was anywhere near a fence, I think theres a gold ring out here, and wont give up until I find it..I went to some other places and picked up some nice spills, one was a stack of three Q's with a nickle and two pennys between them. One massive fresh spill where a kid must have took a tumble, all the shiny coins except 2 came from that kid! Very strange and awful signals these stacks and spills can make. 86 coins, 7.60. I'll go check out that road construction site very early tomorrow am, or maybe even today... Running the f70 hotter at 85 sens with the 10" elliptical stock coil. Good luck friends!

Thanks Tim...I've been wondering how many gold bracelets I've passed over with a scratchy foil/pulltab signal...I got lucky and stabbed this one, got a finger down through the sod and dirt, and could feel it was a chain. was going real slow trying to get to know the 10" coil, so as you say, "speed kills" maybe its good to dink around slowly for a little and just explore these nasty signals for a while, especially in a place like this that seems to have some surprises. Both the other bracelets were large, and in the snow pile area, hitting 57 ish just like the fence wires.

Mud, Awesome!!!. Way to go on your decision to dig. I also have a spot that produces oldies, yet I am also plagued with chain link fence pieces. I will follow your lead on my next hunt there.

Yep, dug a 18" serpentine silver chain that was laid out horizontally at almost 3 inches deep, read foil all the way but the pinpoint was the giveaway, long narrow signal. Knew it wasn't a gum wrapper! Probably missed more than a few bundled up ones.

Just got back, not worth a durn! Saw signs of somebody beating me to it.. I found a 74 Q and scrap. Time to cook breakfast for Mothers day...maybe I'll get out later and find something good.

Nice detecting Mud. You sure are hitting a high number of coins this year. It could be stellar year for you.... I use the 6.5" coil most of the time and the 10" coil is on a lower rod in the trunk when I want to use a bigger coil. 11" is at home in the box. Use the 11" on the beach.... Great job Mud... Z

Funny I had just been raiding the wife's jewelry box two nights ago and checking the tones/numbers of the gold rings/ear rings on the 75, found a 925 bracelet that in there she didnt know was silver. It was the wide thin type with the angled links that make for a pretty solid object or I thought. Couldnt get it to give any good signal or numbers and like mud here was surprised at the numbers and tones I recieved from a few silver necklaces and pendants as well.

Good find. Not an easy one I would agree.
