JimmyCT

Well-known member
If you ear pads on your ML 80 wireless headphones have worn out, there is an cheap and easy fix. The Bose ear pads are identical in dimensions and lock into place the same way as the ear pads on the ML80. 5 min / $15 fix and I’m back in action. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

Did those come with adhesive strips on them, or do you need to get glue?
I reused the Minelab foam to cover the speakers, then installed the ear pads. (The Minelab foam was not glued) Once the ear pads are installed the foam stays in place.
To answer your question: the Bose does come with two speaker covers with self-adhesive.

Thanks for the info Jim… in that video you sent me, it looks like Bose pads just snap in place like the original pads….. I did not notice there was adhesive on them.

That’s correct there is no adhesive. Start in one area of the pad and work your way around. You will hear the backing “click” into place.

Thanks Jim Nice my stock minilab ones are peeling! I have two sets just in case!
