Hello all!
My director owns a 1700 colonial and I had 2.5 hours in the back yard...
Wheat... wheat... wheat... '35 merc... wheat... wheat... all '30 & '40's... I was hoping for some more silver...
I got a solid 32 on my X-Terra 70 (penny) at 2-4 inches... I was expecting a new penny as the rest were in the 6" range... but in the plug was a large cent size copper... but much much thinner... I could see a bust of a male facing right...
Its in rough shape... but we were able to id it... this coin was only made in 1722
Here is the front...
Reverse... (You can see the flower in the middle and RO and part of the S on the top right...)
More info on this coin: http://www.coinfacts.com/colonial_c...2_rosa_americana_DEI_GRATIA_REX_AMERICANA.htm
I wished I had more time... but I can go back anytime I want...
Here is the rest...
Interesting one is the copper next to the merc dime...
Its the same size and thickness as a penny... but its as smooth as a baby's butt!
*shrug*
Thanks for looking...
HH!
