SINCE THE DEBATE HAS STARTED AND MY REALE HAS BEEN BURIED BEFORE IT'S TIME... <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="

I hunt with fast and deep "ON" in highly mineralized soil. This is one of 5 reales found in last 4 months.
Experience has shown me that whenever I turn off 'deep - I miss stuff. How do I know because I go back over same area and discover signals that just were not there when deep was set to 'OFF'.
When I turn off fast - I find that shallow coins next to junk can easily be missed. If you think all good coins are at 12" - you are mistaken.
This works for me and perhaps something else works for you. I go with what I know works for me. So chalk another one up for the fast/deep "ON" crew.
Theory is great - reality is often much different.
good luck all! And Happy Thanksgiving!
