1800's Farm House

I started detecting a property that I was told had been detected once before. Beautiful early 1800's stone farm house with another stuccoed house in back. It was a scorcher so I only detected for about 3 hours before calling it quits for the day. I managed to pull this out from 6" down. Pretty cool medallion commemorating WWI. I'll have to do some research to learn a little more about it. The other side is smooth and flat so I think it might have been attached to something at one time.

I received a preliminary response from the Emmaus Historical Society. The borough of Emmaus (Emaus at the time) presented a medallion to each serviceman returning home from WWI during a celebration held in August 1919. I asked some follow-up questions of the historical society. I'll post the response when I get it.

Additional information: The medal was attached to a ribbon and approximately 200 were presented to returning soldiers. The medal is made of pewter.

Very nice !

Congratulations! Nice find.
