Hey whats up safarians! Hit a couple of new spots last weekend, about a 3 hour round trip but its nice to get to some new areas. First cellar hole looked unbelievable, pasture walls everywhere, about 3/4 mile into woods, but produced only a button and some oxknobs. With little time left in the day hit another cellarhole and found this 1809 400 reis from Portugal in the first 5 minutes. It's basically the same size as a 4 reale, it's silver but I didn't clean it. Interesting coin, it was a headscratcher when i pulled it. Apparanetly it was a coin being worn on a necklace. It was as you'd expect on the safari, a solid 38, about 8 inches deep, as with most silver coins and large cents the safari will scream on targets like this at 8-10 inches. Sensitivity 19, custom coin mode.
