1839 1/2 dime:thumbup: Went back to my new site this afternoon and fought the jungle :starwars:

The old town site is either solid underbrush or prairie grass past my waist but I rooted around as best I could.:stretcher: Got a few keepers and a good workout .Found just enough stuff to think about going back with a weed eater if the owner will allow me to.The 1839 half dime is cupped and has a solder spot on the back and must have been half of a cuff link. The silver Rosie surprised me to say the least. Also found the half of a worn slick silver coin of some sort near where I got the flat button. The lone bullet was a solid 10" down and not to strong sounding.

Great finds as always Ray,I bet it was a workout.
Your hard work is appreciated, wonder who last held the half dime?
Thanks for sharing the great finds.

Bullet appears to be a Sharps carbine bullet. Nice finds. Has the other hunter had much success?

Not sure as I have not met him yet.Back 20 years ago part of area was farmed and the owner said they picked up several bullets washed out by the rain. Thanks for the info on the bullet as I am new to relic hunting,Ray.
