These recoveries are the best of the last two hunts that I did. Rustydigger, who usually meets me at this site wasn't able to make yesterday, so he missed the V nickel, 88 tag, and the smallest buckle. The medium sized buckle has a stamp on the back that looks like PATented ? 1879,,or something. V nickel rang in a steady 14 and was recovered from sandy/rocky driveway at depth of just 6 inches. Buttons have no design on front. Thimble is open-ended. Ax head rang in at 27 at base of old tree, just 4-5 of depth. Stats: relic/high density. Thanks for looking.
