Well the gold slump came to an end today with a added surprise, tagged a 18K and Plat wedding ring. 8.5 grams. I was using one tone, low trash, seawater on, fast and deep off, normal on, and 11'' coil. ring was in soft sand about 8'' down.
I have found that us beach guys and gals that contend with the heavy black sand here in southern California, that low trash setting knocks out 90% of the black sand noise. I can run a much higher sens. in low trash.

What a great find! And platinum too boot! Where does that come in for VDI Numbers?

very nice! Way to go!

I didn't look at the VDI numbers I was running one tone so I was just digging every hit which on the beach can be few and far between sometimes I'll check a air test and send you a PM before Isell it.

Gene..... you continually amaze me on your finds. I love that you keep experimenting with this amazing machine and you keep refining your settings which keeps increasing your finds :) Peggy
