1909 S VDB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well brothers, once in a while we get lucky. Tonight, me and my MD'n main man, f75Tom, were out in the wilds of Iowa. Our second day out of the 2011 season, and we are out at an old farmhouse, and I find a coin spill, teens and 20's. I pulled out the 1909s, and told Tom, and looked on the backside, and did not see a VDB. Pretty stoked, wheats are ok, but I would rather have an IH. So I get home, and I wash the mud off, and start looking at the coins under the range light, and I think I see a V. OK, at this point I am about ready to freak out, and I yell at my wife to find my loop. She thinks I am going crazy because she has no clue to what's going on. I look at the coin with the loop, and there it is, VDB!!!!!!!!! 1909 S V.D.B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My MD'n brothers, tonight is truly a great night! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS SH*$!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is a really nice find. Besides being rare you put YOUR coil over it and retrieved it. Thanks for posting. What a hobby. :clapping:

Finding a nice wheat in my area is very rare, the ground minerals really eat at copper in Virginia.

That is a GREAT find!!! WTG. The Safari strikes again. How deep was it? Look forward to some more pix. Glad the weather is finally starting to cooperate with some areas of the north and midwest.
