1936 Indian with stamp doubling

This belongs to a friend of mine.
He thought it was a double die,but turns out to be stamp doubling!

I found this WLH and thought it was a double die until I was informed about the machine doubling...

They are still worth a little more because of the doubling usually!
 
It is so common that it doesn't add any additional value to a coin unless it is very extreme (i.e. visible to the naked eye). If you doubt me then join the yahoo group, Error Coin Information Exchange and post your pictures there. The top error coin dealers in the country hang out in that group and will offer opinions as to the value of any error coin and will sometimes buy good ones. They will confirm that machine doubled coins have no special value.
 
I just go by what they sell them for on e-bay.
Machine doubling pennies and rpm's seem to bring 5.00 or so.
Depending on how bad they want them.
