2 FULL Digs Video

Hey everyone.

Here's my second FULL Dig video. Please remember my goal is to not only show the good but also the bad; if nothing more than to help in the learning process. I chase a lot of "iffy" signals to get some of these coins. I live nearby so I do not mind digging. This footage is actually on my first day of filming. I'll try to get better. I'll let you guys in on the secret. Ready? The second target is the good one. I don't know why the conductivity numbers on the first target held so well, but I suspect it was a combination from the "trash" target and possible a large piece of buried "something" nearby. Anyway enjoy and feel free to comment!!!

By the way. I was using Andy's Old coin program. Running Multi tones, Conduct. sounds, Auto +3. Variablility 29, Gain 24, Deep On, Fast Off, Ground Neutral, Trash High. The Sensitivity was running 25 in Auto +3

Thanks,

NebTrac

Good video! Congrats on the SLQ!! That's a good find!

Did you happen to dig the signal at :52 into your recording? It sounded really good!

very good video for a start.I like your tripod set up thats different.Look at my first videos they are rough.Your edit job was very nice was it Windows Movie Maker ? great job.

Thanks guys. Dan, no I didn't. I know it sounded good, and I know exactly where that is so I might have to go back and investigate. To be quite hones I think there is a whole line of buried fence right there. I'm almost sure the barbwire was numbering out around 27-45. It sounded a lot better when I had it marked the first time before filming. I'm finding when the numbers go 27-45 or 27-46 two ways (like when you start your circle you get a hit, then lose it at 90 degrees, gain it again at 180 and lose it at 270 degrees) you're usually catching the long way of a bolt, nail or in this case barbwire. If you get a hit all four ways you definitly dig regardless of the numbers. If I get a good sound 2 ways I usually dig anyway, sometimes I might dig a one way but I usually try and play with the signal a lot more. I'm also finding I can get large iron falsing to pinpoint off to the side, but if I play with an iffy signal long enough I can get a nail or a bolt to pinpoint where I visualize the target to be when sweeping.

Todd I did use Windows Movie Maker. I don't know how to very well but it does good enough for what I want. I used youtube annotations to fill in the missing links.

Dr. Who I will have more videos to come. I'm just spacing them out about 1 a week. I'll let you in on a little secret. I dug another quarter 3 feet to the south of that Standing Liberty. 5 minutes later and also got that one on film. It's my favorite "film" find so far. The way I caught it really makes me glad I had the camera that day. Didn't find another coin within 50 feet of there.

Take care,

NebTrac
