I had close to 2 hours before all the rain hit... AGAIN. I hate hunting in muck but I know I will have limited hunt time this year as compared to last. I hit my same beat to death site to try and scare some wheaties or silver out of the ground. Sometimes this site won't even give up a wheatie in 3 hours ...but other times I pop a couple out. I hit a section that I can never hunt...mainly because even IF you get a signal...you can't dig it anyway because it's like concrete.:surrender: It truly turns to pretty much cement all through summer because it's a gravel/sand/dirt/muck soil combo that hardens to cement....nice huh? :crylol:
Anyway...it was diggable because of all the rain...which just won't stop. Signals were almost non existent...and when I got one...it was DEEP ...and a one way hit.
I have to be honest...even if I hadn't of popped out the 2 silvers...I would still have posted the 2 wheaties by themselves. Why??..because they were BOTH an honest 10" down and I did measure both. I have never found two coins from that depth before in the same hunt. The 2 silvers came in the last 45 minutes of the 2 hours... and the merc came from an honest 9" ..and the Roosey came from 8". In two hours I dug ONLY these 4 coins...but NO BULL...they came from a combined depth of 37" for the four. 10"...10"...9"...8". I will take a hunt like that any day of the week.:yo:
I know 2 silvers and two wheaties are not much to brag about to most of you...but man were they deep.

I have noticed that to find coins in hunted out parks we must find the ones 7-10 inches. I am afraid that most of the others have been scooped up. Very nice finds Bryce, at least when the probe is completely below ground and singing you know you have a keeper - that's when it's fun.

um, Bryce.....Thats no fair, you can't be adding up the depths, next thing you know there will be rumors that Bryce found a coin at 37", and blossom from there. Good digs though......My 6' coil is sitting in the living room, pacing back and forth, waiting for the ground to thaw.....

THATS IT BUDDY IM COMING TO TOWN LOL :ranting: IF YOUR NOT GOING TO TAKE ME WITH YOU CAN I AT LEAST DIG THEM FOR YOU...:yikes: NICE JOB BRYCE KEEP THEM COMING :clapping:

if your caller ID isn't showing the calls...OR you just want me to dig this stuff by myself:thumbdown:.Seriously I KNOW you aren't ignoring the calls...so I figured you caller ID isn't doing what it's supposed to do. I'll keep trying to call and maybe we can squeeze in a couple of hunts between the rains next week:clapping:

that 6" Excelerator is just sitting there doing nothing...ESPECIALLY when it could be picking up some silver for you out of a pile of trash from 7" to 8" down.
Hope it thaws sonn for you buddy.

You did good!

Good find and I feel your pain about the rain as I live near St. Louis and they say will get rain a coupleof days a week until May

bryce maybe we can go after 2:00 to day :punch: if not we can go though the week any time

Good to see you found more Silver. You're going to have to try and get back there and detect those spots more before they get rock hard. There could be Larger Silver waiting for you. Good Luck and HH.

Why couldn't it have been one year early and been a wheatie? I'm certainly in a dry spell. I went back to where I found the barber dime..... nothing except a 1965 quarter.
