2 tone ferrous, All the time?

Awesome point Todd. The 2 tone ferrous is all I use in the cellar sites now.If the iron isn't bad,i'll go with the conductive tones and quickmask.

I have been using the 2 tone ferrous for the past couple of weeks. Now my ears gets confused in Conductive multi tone.

So, now I now bounce back and forth between screens when I get a high pitch signal. I do look at the srceen alot, I like the confirmation. Although I get an aweful lot of good sounds and the read out is 35/48?

I have found that coins almost always will repeat, repeat, repeat, if you just hold the coil stationary over the target that is centered.

Found a couple Silver Rosy dimes last night in 2 tone. They came in 11/44; 12/44; 11/44........ Fair amount of trash in the area. Switched to one of my disc. patterns and got the same read out. Although both settings never gave up a really good solid sweet signal. I went more on what my ears were telling me.

I have started using a lower threshold pitch, it seems to help quite things down a bit.

Very dry here in NH. Maybe that is an issue? I havn't dug any deep coins in the yard. The house was built in 1885 and the one next door in 1905.

I do the same thing, i hunt in 2 tone ferrous in lots of iron then in better parts of the parks i use conductive, has been working good for me.
