I had to put my dog down this afternoon. Deuce has been by my side 24/7 for the last 15 years.
I going to miss him!
He was a good dog.

The good lord....your mother...and your dog. Sorry bro...seriously. I love my buddy Hercules more than you can imagine. He was there through a crappy relationship...the loss of my mom...and is helping me deal with my pops. again...truly sorry for the loss.

Sorry to hear about your dog GR. Dogs and cats can certainly become just like family and it hurts when you lose one. Hang in there buddy.

Back when I was going to high school, I had a pet dog named Goldie and my parents had to have her put down due to a large cancerous tumor that was in her stomach. I remember looking at the clock at school that day and when 2 o'clock rolled around, I knew she was no longer with us in body but she would always be with me in spirit for all them great memories we shared, just as your dog did with you. Let them great memories bring laughter and joy to you and help in the healing process GR. Again, I'm very sorry for your loss, he will surely be missed. :sadwalk:

so sorry to hear that republic. 4 years ago my dog kasper was stolen and has never returned and i have never cared for another dog since. truly amazing how dogs can never stop caring for you even through tough times they are always there with a wagging tale and a sloppy kiss. we will raise our glass for deuce.

A man's dog is the only creature that truly knows him and could not care less about his faults and is always happy when you walk thru the door. They need little and give a lot. That connection a person gets with a certain dog is un-explainable it's just that we know we will be there for the dog' and the dog will be there for us when needed. I know it's hard to take GR just remember the good times!

I had to put my dog down 7 years ago GR and I still cry to this day about her every now & then. Best damn dog I ever had in my life and she was with me through some hard times. She used to love riding in my car with her standing on my lap as I drove my car around. I think she got a kick out of moving very fast but her legs were not moving. I clean for a living and at that time I had no VCR so in the hair salon that I cleaned and it was upscale I would bring after I cleaned the place pizza and beer and my dog inside the place and watch Bruce Lee movies, heehee. If that owner ever found out I had that dog in there she would've flipped out completely.

When it was winter and I had my electric blanket going I would just lift up the covers and she would go under them and sleep next to me to keep warm. She was 15 years old too like your baby. I am very glad that I took many pictures of her and some film footage to remember her by. between my wife and son being allergic to dogs I could never get another one but my thought was always that if she went I would get another without blinking an eye. I know you can not replace your dog but if I could and I can not because my landlord does not allow pets I would get another dog in a second.

I feel your pain GR and from someone who has been there time heals the wound. My dog was not just an animal it was a part of my family and I loved her so and I still think of her every day. I know you will do the same and rightly so.

I still remember when we had to put our little "Midnight" down. Had her for close to 19 years, which is uncommonly old even for a small dog. She was there all the way when the kids were growing up. I was shot for a week after that, and the house seemed so empty. I know what you're going through, and you have my deepest sympathy...

I know the feeling my friend, I just put down my old girl Punky about 1 1/2 weeks ago. She had a brain Aneurysm, I am not sure about the spelling on that one, She was 17 1/2 years old and my best friend. My cat's & I miss here very much. So I know what you are going through. Sorry for your loss...Jesse.

Sorry for your loss GR. Pets are missed more than people sometimes. Pets are more loyal. He was a nice looking dog...

I feel for you man. They truly have unconditional love and really become like members of the family. I know he had a long and happy life.

I have always been very attached to my Golden Retrievers - they are family to me - and it breaks my heart when I lose one. I was very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend!

You have my sympathy, GR. We lost our 10-year-old lab, Jack, this past February and it's still hard. I can
still remember every dog I've had -- I'm on my sixth -- and it's amazing how they each have their own
personality. Thanks for sharing the pic -- Duece looked like a great dog.

RIP, Duece. Take it easy, GR, and remember the good times you had.

GR Sorry about you losing Deuce. It is never easy, they are the best buddies we can have sometimes. Hope you can cheer yourself up soon.
