Hi All,
Finally got a chance to get out. Hit my "special" yard and found what could be my first "GOLD" jewelery, mesh pendant. It rang up mostly 30-31 with a bounce to 28-29. Pleasantly surprised! Worked the yard for quite a while and only found 2 memorials, that was nice. Got 6 wheats and then hit a solid 15. Buff time!!! I think it is a 1930 best I can tell. Got a 37-38 with a bump down to 36. Thinking wheat, then a '36 merc showed her lovely face.
This makes 36 silver for the year and 22 from this yard alone. 53 wheats from this yard as well.
thanks all,
Bunker

Bunker,

Nice finds. From the looks of the buffalo you folks use the same caustic fertilizers as we do in PA.

Bunky-very nice hunt there. Glad that spot keeps offering up some goodies. Interesting pendant and beads. Hopefully, it'll show gold markings after it's bath! Surprised to see the Merc drop down to a 36 reading. Had it happen on clad dimes, but not silver. Dry conditions that day ?
Tom -My older nickles don't come out any better in Central Jersey, either. Afterall, we're known as the tox.....I mean garden state.........

Nice Finds Bunker, When The Goodies are Comin Up Like That Its All Worth It.

Thanks all,
It really is a great yard to dig in. The house was built in the 20's I believe and a movie was filmed there decades ago. The soil is tough on coins down here. This is the 4th buff I've found in this yard and all of them were pretty rough. The conditions were moist due to all the rain we've had the last week or so.
HH,
