3 Recent TTF Hunts

G'day :ausflag:

Its good to be back out with my Etrac after a knee operation .:)
What a machine !..its still amazing me

I decided to try for some older stuff and travelled into the country to the ruins of an old hotel for 2x 3 hour hunts
Items of note were 1890's to 1930's dog tags, a 1867 penny and a little brass piece depicting a hunting dog chasing a duck

When I came back home teamed up with Mark who also runs an Etrac, but mostly in conductive.
I have used TTF a couple of times in similar locations strewn with old iron and stuck with that , I am glad that I did.
We researched an old church and whilst out looking ran into an old couple who pointed out an old house and barn site (..house is gone barn is almost gone)
We had 2x 3 to 4 hour hunts here with the kind old couples permission.

It turned out to be great for me ... a nice Token , many 1860-90's pennys, a 1900 silver Threepence, a 1865 silver Shilling, an old brooch or hatpin, an old button with a bull above a crown,
A large King George penny circa 1803 and 2 large Queen Victoria pennys one is 1856 and the other is smooth.
Marks finds were also fairly fantastic with a nice Token and some awesome old coins

Some were really deep the silver shilling took some finding and had iron in with it and it let off a very flutey signal
Thanks to all here for the tips , inspiration and encouragement
Happy swinging

So strange...I checked an old house in Ft Worth Texas and found 2... not 1 but 2 of those big British pennys...A 1921 and a 1936. A few years back, again here in Texas I found an 1870 big British penny.that was barely visable.

Very interesting finds and some great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
