3 silver halves today Franklin, Barber and SEATED!!!!!!!!!!

Great finds. I am looking at the Etrac as my next detector. Please don't take this question the wrong way, but I see videos of Minelab users and the holes are often quite large.

Is it because they are digging deep, or more due to difficulty pinpointing with large coils?

Nothing seems to find that deep silver like the Etrac.

Patrick, aka the Fenian

I am hoping you say that the Etrac can pinpoint great and that the big holes are because big "hinged" (3 sided cut) holes close up and heal nicely, also that it just makes good sense to cut around a coin rather than damage it by digging too tight. Thanks.

Patrick

oh yeah the etrac pinpoints nicely, but have you ever tried to recover a 7-8" deep coin cutting a tiny plug? and if you leave a hinge it goes back in real nice. If you cut a tiny plug it will get sucked UP by mowers!

Thanks, that is what I was hoping to hear. I am in total agreement about the right way to make a hole, small plugs don't recover like big hinged cuts. And you must go a little wide to go deep.

I enjoyed the video. You really hit it a home-run with all that large silver, it was cool just watching you guys find it.

Hope to join the ranks of Minelab users next season. I will be looking all winter for someone who wants to sell a used Etrac.

Thanks

Patrick.
