today a lady came to the house and knocked on the door i thought to myself who the heck is that. i opened the door and she gave me her name and said i lost my wedding set and someone told me you guys use metal detectors. i said yes i do. she said well when you have time can you please help me find it and ill pay you. by this time shes about in tears. i said i will come up right now and there is absolutely no reason to pay me. i drove up, its only about a mile from the house, and she gave me the vicinity and after about 20 minutes i had both rings and she was estatic and couldnt believe it she said she looked for 4 hours the night before. as im about to leave she runs out with the check book i said atleast 8 times there was no reason to pay me. but she told me to shut up and take the check. i recieved $50 for my good deed. looks like thats gas money to school the rest of the week.

That's what it is all about - some of my most memorable finds have been returns while detecting at the beach. Always starts with - Can you please help me. Always ends with - I'll do what I can. On one particular occasion off the beach, an older lady came to me very upset because she lost a platinum and diamond earring that was the last gift given to her by her recently deceased husband. The earring was lost in her back yard between her deck and her driveway. Lots of thick grass, so I was even a bit concerned. I asked her to give me her other one, I scanned it (12-02) and got to work. Had to swing the 6X8 SEF very slow. Took me about 45 minutes to find it but when I did, her reaction was priceless. Bottom line - good job Weston! You made someone very happy and she will remember your kindness for as long as she has those rings.

Great job! Congrats for helping her out.

Very nicely done Weston! Way to go man!
