I have been using the 5" coil and going back over some of the more trashy spots I hunt and also have been playing around with sen settings for checking the 5" coils footprint. I am finding at about 40-45 sen that the 5" coil has pretty much an exact 5" footprint and at sen of 50, 60, and 70 it see's close to an inch more at these higher sen settings. This is in the BP mode and 0 disc and with a sen of 40 I am digging cents and dimes down to 7" and maybe a bit more. At 6 -7" the tones are faint, but good enough for my old ears to hear easily. At 40 sen emi is no longer a problem on a couple of spots where I've been hampered in the past. Anyway, thought I would pass this along and see what some of your experiences have been, as well.
