5 Hours... just ONE coin...but OH MY what a STUNNER:surprised:

It is the NICEST Barber quarter I've EVER dug.

Soaking wet ground....nearly 5 hours with nothing but CRAP in the pouch:bouncy:...then this shocking stunner out of nowhere.:yikes:

This baby floored me.

I got the slightest window of a sweet warble...and I mean it was tiny.:) Anything more than a 4" coil wiggle from side to side...and the signal was gone.

It almost shrieked in the warble like an aluminum can does:blink: ...but it was such a tiny window of a hit that I knew it was a small target.

After digging a deep hole...I saw the bold clean rim peeking out and I knew it was going to be a sweetie.

It was absolutely STRAIGHT on edge at 8" deep:yikes:...and I mean standing at attention:thumbup:....straight up.

You can even see where the tarnish streaks run through the back and drip down from it standing on edge for over 100 years in the cold dirt.

I can't explain what it was like to see that rim peeking through the murk from 8" on edge.:help:

After I placed the pretty lady safely in my car...I went back and ran the coil over the now filled hole...and it was an absolute dead null...complete silence.

Now I know why the sweet warble was such a tiny window:cool:...deep iron was hiding this baby for over 100 years.:clapping:

I am glad the SE was able to sniff her cries through the iron riddled silence.

You've heard me say this 100's of times...but I'll say it again..."What a wonderful hobby".

Must be Barber season Bryce...........she's a beauty.

Really nice coin Bryce seems like the rains have helped. Keep working those pounded areas. Still a lot of good stuff in the ground for those who are persistant and patient.:detecting:

Wow ultra-crisp barber, Bryce! My favorite coin to dig, I've found 3 in the last year. Just love seeing that serrated edge sticking out of the dirt! Congrats!

WOW BRYCE, I'M STILL IN SHOCK :yikes: THIS MAY BE THE ONLY COIN I DIDN'T NEED MY SUPER DUPER LASER BEAM GLASSES TO SEE, :surprised: IT LOOKED ALMOST WHITE AT FIRST GLANCE, WITH OUT A DOUBT THE BEST BARBER QUARTER I HAVE EVER SEEN DUG :thumbup:AWESOME FIND BUDDY. I THINK I HAVE COME UP WITH A NEW NAME FOR YOU I'M GOING TO START CALLING YOU MASTER POE.........AWWWWWWW GRASSHOPPER.

You're lucky that "Master Poe" tracked down the "grasshopper's" Predator digger...otherwise Mrs. Yeti would have thumped a knot on your melon bigger than the one the hickory nut left last week.:detecting:

Bryce, you are breaking me down! Thats it, no more auto-sensitivity, I AM GOING MANUAL! China here I come! From now on I shall be called Backho-Billy!
