6” and 17” coils came!! Excited to try them both!

Have a park by a beach that I have been hunting for a while. One side is super trashy and the other side was back filled with about 8” of fill dirt many yrs ago. It’s a spot that’s been being used since the late 1800s. So I’m sure I can use both coils.

Your going to like the 17, it pretty much stays on my machine.
Figure out how it pinpoints and your off and digging
I have a 6 but not much experience with it

Both coils are awesome in their own niche of hunting. Just make sure you shorten you coil rod as much as possible when using the 17". If you extend it out too far you'll feel it in your arm quickly.

Good luck!

EXCELLENT tip, and I concur. You need to keep the coil "close to your feet" when running with the 17", so you aren't fighting gravity as much with that big ol' 17" out there way in front of you, using "leverage" to beat up on your arm...

Me too, that 17 is an ANIMAL! If you run into a pocket of trash with it,it’s been best for me to run NO disc and Combined,so you can hear where everything starts and stops and try to get a bead on the good target. You’ll see what I mean...just experiment. But that SOB has found me the vast majority of good finds in the 2 years I’ve had it. Just this weekend I had two dime trifectas involving Seated to Rosie. It’s a FREAK!!
