6" DD EXcelerator EQ 2 Pro

New member
Hi one and all----I have a question re small coils for the E-trac. Has any one had experience with this particular coil in trashy ground---land and beach 6" DD EXcelerator EQ 2 Pro
???? Also are there any other smaller coils available for the ET. Have not been able to locate much information about small coils available on the internet. Any information or advice would be much appreciated.

Gundy,
The Coil I use in trash is the SEF 6X8.
Couldn't ask for better performance for a smaller coil.
The thing isn't a micro coil, but It separates like a champ
and runs very stable.
It would NOT be my choice for the beach due to it's small footprint.
Weight wise - feels like the pro coil.
Good luck.

The 6" Excelerator is a very, very good coil but am not sure its what you need. If you don't have a coil in the intermediate range, 8" or so, Id get a 6X8 SEF first...Its a wonderful little coil and will handle all but the trashiest of sites. When in heavy trash, you need something in the 5-6" range...Then the 6" Excelerator will do the job & is a real bargain....wildherre

I really like my EQ2 coil. Great depth and super sensitive coil on the ETRAC. The smooth, solid bottom allows me to glide right through the bean stubble and corn stalks. The Butterfly is a good coil too. But for the places I like to hunt, open spoke coils just snag on too many things. JMHO HH Randy

Good luck !

I have used both the Sunray 5.5" & the 6' Excelerator coils and they are both really deep and sensitive in trash. I found 44 rings with them last year 6 gold and 2 diamonds. I highly recommend them. I found just as much or more than my hunting buddy who used a standard coil.Good luck!
