600 question

Has anybody tried to use the 600 for nugget hunting? If so is it able to pick up the really small gold nuggets?

Thanks

The Nox 600 in Park 2 or Field 2 will work fine for small gold nugget hunting (or larger deeper gold too) with nuggets depending on shape detectable down to .15 grams or so at 3 to 4" in bad mineralization. I have used both the Nox 600 and 800 nugget hunting. Park 2 or Field 2 set on multi frequency, manual ground balance (auto tracking ground balance only if no other choice), 2 tones, tone break at -2 to 0, reject -9 -8 -7 for hot rock elimination (may need to eliminate more in really bad ground), iron bias or new F2 set at 0 or 1, recovery speed 2 or 3 depending on trash, a little threshold tone helps me anyway, sensitivity around 15 to 18 depending on how hot the ground is, get the 6" coil if you can afford it, swing slower than normal and enjoy.
