600 Ugrade To 750?

Ok the other thread was doomed because of the obvious user key. But what I am implying is, would Minelab consider a software update to make the software like the 800 for a fee? Minelab if you read these forums , I think this would be of interest to many. I would be willing to give the extra 150 minus the 100 for the phones that come with 800 to make my 600 closer to my 800 as my backup machine. And yes I know someone will say why didn't you just buy 2 800s in the first place,,, because getting the 800 was hard enough much less 2 of them.

It makes some sense, Trashfinder. Don't know if Minelab will do it, but an upgrade for a "fee" would just be another way for them to make a few more bucks, and to please a customer/build on their reputation in a positive way...

Another thing Minelab could do (and this is off-topic from what you are asking), is offer folks the ability to buy an "extended warranty." So many detectorists will dump a machine when it gets close to warranty expiration, and then buy the same machine again, but newer...just to have warranty coverage. This could be mitigated if Minelab were to offer an extended warranty program. In some cases, the cost to buy the extended warranty would be cheaper for us, than dumping a used machine and then turning around and buying the same, newer unit, and could be profitable for them, as well...
