7 hour hunt gave me 21 keepers with 7 SILVER

cause the stinkin' nails start to sound way too good:rofl:
I experiment almost every time I hunt...and each and every time I run my sensitivity past semi auto 26...I start to dig nails...not from falsing...but because the SE starts to pick them up as a high solid hit that sounds like silver. With it set at semi auto 26...I do still dig occasional nails....but's it's my choice on an iffy hit. With it set past semi auto 26...they are no longer iffy hits..but more like good coin hits. All of my coils will handle semi auto 32...but I can't :bouncy:
Now in your case buddy...I'd say you might like it maxed at semi auto 32 as long as you don't get any machine falsing. I've never relic hunted...so I can't say for sure...but I bet semi auto 32 would do well for you. Heck...next time you locate a deepie...just mess with the sensitivity a little bit and se what happens for you. See what the difference is going over the target at different settings. I'm amazed at what I see sometimes.
Anyway...good question you posted.,..and I hope I answered it so it makes sense....I just got up and haven't had my caffiene yet:crylol:

Thanks Phil...but for cryin' out loud...I feel like every time I walk into your house... I'm supposed to buy a train ticket...or start stokin the engines with coal:crylol:
Best be up tommorrow when your supposed to be...otherwise I'm diggin' alone:smoke:
PS: tell D she best water that fruit punch down a little more next time:rolleyes:

I have really been hearing a lot of good stuff on those sef coils. I know 8 different people who are using the 10 x 12 and they say it is great at hitting good stuff in the trash...and deep. 2 of the guys stopped using their new minelab coils and been using the 10 x 12. One of them likes the 12 x 15...but he says it is a heavy sucker.

LMAO  THE PUNCH IS READY : :buds: AND I WILL BE 2  O-GOD THAT WAS FUNNY :please:

The Big silvers are just a bonus.....its amazing how these old parks still give up coins after all these years.......Good Job and HH

even get a signal...then the next trip...the same park may give up a bunch of coins. You just never know. Take care and good luck on your next hunt.

I know 2 people who have both..and say they are very similar. My buddy hasn't gotten his yet...but I'm looking forward to comparing them both. I don't care what the result is...cause I know they both are good coils.... Both from what I see people finding using the minelab coil...and what I'm finding myself with the SEF. I'm sure I'll find a few things he misses...and he will in turn find some things I miss. That's the very reason we can still go to these pounded parks week after week...and still find stuff we have BOTH walked over. Nobody hits 'em all. That's what makes this hobby so fun.The only thing I can find about the SEF I would like to see different...sounds like the same think the minelab coil users are saying. I wish I had a solid bottom coil cover to cover all the open spots. It doesn't get caught up in the grass or stubble...but there is a some "drag" there which makes me tired after a while. One of the things i really like about my 1050 coil is that it is a pleasure to swing..it just slides right accross the grass...very smooth....and effortless. If I had a thin solid cover....kind of like my boy's ace 250 coil cover...it would be great. Thanks for the response silverfix.

Bryce i have been reading some of your articles and hunts stories. You are very good. I bought my detector 2 weeks ago explorer se.
Can i please ask you your programs or some settings and are you hunting on digital or smartfind? Can you please tell me or email me some settings? I am using factory settings still. I am slo looking to buy Sunray x-1 pinpointers that everybody is telling me that i should get it.
