7 More Silvers, 29 Wheats, and a Little Gold!!

Hello my friends!!

I'm continuing to get a little stronger with each hunt. :super: It sure feels good to be able to feel less pain and fatigue!! I went to a couple of my pillaged parks this week, and managed one of my better days at one of the parks in quite some time. On Monday I found a couple of areas that still had a concentration of deep signals, and ended up with 5 silvers and 21 wheaties, the oldest being a 1909. All the coins were in the 7-9" range, and within 10 ft. from pine and oak trees: areas typically loaded with trash signals. The Pro Coil sniffed out all those deep signals amongst the trash. I worked those areas in all directions, zig- z.a.g.ging repeatedly til I couldn't find another deep target. It sure paid off. Today, I went to another beat to death park, and didn't have one old coin for 2 hrs straight. Then the next hour, I dug a Merc, Rosie, 8 wheats, and a piece of a thirties era mickey mouse enamel ring. The gold 10Kt sapphire pendant was a "gimme" target, laying right on the surface as my coil passed over it. The tiny diamond tests real! The signal was similar to a small piece of foil.

Well, that concludes another successful week of turf hunting. In time, I'll be able to venture out further from my locale, and hunt with more of my buddies again!!

Thanks for looking!

Glad you are getting stronger Dan and congratulations on
the silver coins and all the wheats and goodies you found.
It has to be very gratifying for you to have almost beaten
the fibro and be able to get back to doing the hobbie that
you love!! Look forward to reading about more of your finds.
Take care my friend.............Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Wow captn... That's a great hunt! I think I seen some YouTube videos of you a while back.. Could you post the link to them? Glad you are feeling better! Looking forward to your next post!!

That's a terrific number of signals to recover - and an awesome Wheat/silver ratio too! It's amazing what some parks still hold for the right person with the right detector.

Thanks for the reply, Derrelld!

Here's just a few I posted some time ago on this forum.

Here's a bunch more:

where you need to substitute "the_other_big_forum" with the actual forum name. I will send it to you if you don't know the other forum (it starts with a "T"). FindMall erases the name if I mention it.

I also have a good buddy of mine who filmed some cable TV treasure hunting shows. I've been in a number of those too.
Here's his link:

He's got a lot of videos....you'll have to look for me in some of them. Of particular interest are the Lincoln and Elysian park series. :super:

Nice hunting, Dan! Glad you are feeling better!!

I picked up one of those Mickey mouse rings this year. Mine was more open. Is that a Lincoln penny that was cut in half? Ive found a couple of the older pennies that were cut in half. Back in the day, they used to make change that away. Those are some great finds..... way to go.

That's a great week Dan.

I too would like to venture out a little further from home to hit some old reliable spots.

Unfortunately I just can't do so right now. Too much onthe plate.

As long as I getto swing the coil though...I don't care how beat up the spot is:thumbup:

We have so many lawnmower chopped coins in our parks here. I've got handfuls of chopped silver coins too!

Thanks,

HH,
