Always wanted to dig one of these Claddagh rings. The parks around here are like ant farms on the weekends so, I thought I'd make a quick run around the trees Monday focusing on shallow targets. Got the usual clad, pull tabs and trash but was happy to score this. Rang up as a 23/24 on the Nox 800 which is a little lower than where I'm used to silver showing up. I'll take it!

Nice job checking one off your wish list. The tid is based off conductivity/mass/shape of the target. Example I like, 3 cent silvers half dimes, dimes, quarters and halves all silver but have different tid's.

Thanks Jeff. Goes to show, no ID# is EVER a guarantee. You're exactly right, size, shape, and conductivity always dictate the response by the detector. The variables between those three factors on jewelry pretty much make the possibilities endless...
