Just purchased a 950 coil .The d2 is ok but I am old school and think I will like the 950 better.Most areas I hunt is low in mineralization. Any thoughts>
 
I too did much better with the 950 coil on my used to own V3i.
 
The DD coils excel in mineralized ground so the 950 should be the better coil for you. Lots of advantages to a concentric coil but the main disadvantage is you lose some coverage at depth and you need to overlap your swings.
